Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Barry and Megan's house in Lincoln, NE.  Thanks again for having us and all the wonderful food.  It was great to spend time with Scott's family.  Hannah loves all of the attention and she especially loved Charlie (Megan and Barry's dog).  Hannah did not leave Charlie out of her sight the entire time we were there.  She chased him around all day long and gave him lots of kisses.
We did not leave the house much, because it was really cold and I personally enjoyed being lazy.
 The kids played some games...
Hannah wanted to play as well
We played with some stickers.....
We also celebrated christmas with Scott's family ......
......and opened lots of gifts.  Hannah got excited every time somebody opened a gift.
How cute is the coat Hannah got from grandma (it is from London)??????
Hannah decided to use Brian and Kerri's new blender as a horsie
Saturday was another fantastic day.....the Seminoles finally beat the Gators!  It was about time.
Hannah wore her FSU outfit for the first time, so I like to think that had something to do with the win.  I think this outfit is so adorable (Hannah was too busy for me to take pictures though, but you can kinda see the FSU on her shirt)!
Hannah will wear this outfit again for the ACC Championship next Saturday!

Top Chef Challenge

Last Wednesday Scott and I had our long awaited Top Chef challenge.  We made it up to Lincoln, NE Wednesday afternoon and were ready to start the competition.  We drew a sous chef, a protein and 2 other ingredients out of a hat and the fun began.  I had a great partner in Barry and Scott worked with Ashley to prepare a delicous 3 course meal.  We came up with our menu, went to the store and started chopping, chopping and more chopping.

I was going to take pictures of the entire challenge, but we were so busy that I totally forgot until this........
I drew chicken as the main dish and I had to incorporate corn and green beans.  Scott drew beef as the main dish and he had to incorporate celery and asparagus.
Menu for the evening:
Appetizer: Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms vs Spicy Pork and Shrimp Meatballs
Main Dish: Beef Tenderloin with Syrah Mushroom Sauce served with Twice Baked Mashed potatoes vs Satay Chicken Sliders served with Fried Green Beans
Dessert: Peanut Butter Pie vs Chocolate Mousse Cake
And the winner is........
...........it was a tie.
We had a fun time cooking and the entire family enjoyed a wonderful meal.  I have to say that I was exhausted at the end of the day.  It is a lot of work to come up and prepare a 3 course meal in a few hours.  I am glad I don't have to do that every day!
Have a great week.

KU Basketball

Hannah and I went to our first KU basketball game last week!  We stopped in Lawrence, KS last Tuesday to break up our drive up to Lincoln, NE.  Scott's buddy Logan met us out for dinner and went to the game with us.
Hannah had to take an important call while we were getting ready to go to the game.
Allen Fieldhouse
Let the cheering begin.....

Scott wanted to make sure I take a picture of this for the rest of his family :)
Hannah really enjoyed the game.
Half Time meant dancing for Hannah....
The scoreboard showed this.....
......and Hannah did that.
We had a great night and all three of us had fun!  You know Hannah is Scott's daughter....she has already been to a Red Sox, Chiefs and KU game.
I still have a lot to catch up on, so you will be hearing from me again soon.

Girls On The Run and Lighting On The Square

Yesterday morning our family of three participated in the Girls on the run 5k.  It was a great event benefiting a great cause.  I really like this race, because of all the little girls running and that sets such a good example.  There are a lot of fast little kids in Bentonville.  When we got to the race location we noticed that our jogging stroller has a flat tire, so we had to go to the nearby bike shop to get some air in the tires.  We got done right before the race started, but we had to start at the end of the lineup.  It is not easy fighting the crowd when you are running with  a stroller.
Before the race
After the race....Hannah looks pretty tired from the run :)
Hannah and Daddy are re-hydrating with an orange

In the evening we headed back donwtown for the lighting of the square.  Scott decided to have a little "pre-party" on the porch of our new house (since the house is not livable) before walking over there.  It was quite the sight!  I am sure our new neighbors are going to love us!

Matt just had eye surgery, so he was wearing sunglasses and Heman is growing a
 mustache.

Have a great week!

Picture Gallore

I had Hannah's Fall pictures taken by Myra Wike a few weeks ago at Compton Gardens.  It was a little bit of a gloomy day, but they turned out really cute.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Yesterday morning our good friend Jenny of Jenny Marrs Photography took our family pictures.  It was a beautiful day out and we picked a perfect location for the shoot.  Jenny does a fabulous job, especially with babies, kids and families.  You can check out a sneak peak of our pictures on her blog.  I can't wait to see the rest of them.  It is going to be hard to pick favorites!  I think you will see a lot of these again in the form of christmas presents :)
I snapped a few pictures before we left for the shoot.  I just love her outfit.  It will be perfect on christmas.
Hope you are having a good weekend.
