Sick Days

We have had a lot of sick days in our household.  I started it all with a major sinus infection followed by a double ear infection for Hannah. We were both put on antibiotics and Hannah started to feel better after 48 hours.  I on the other hand was still miserable.  I went back to the doctor after being on antibiotics for 6 days and I was feeling worse than the first day.  I was put on another antibiotic and it finally helped!  A few days after that Scott started to get a sinus infection and was also put on antibiotics......and then a few days after that Hannah had a high fever again and we went back to the doctor to find out she had another double ear infection.   Let's hope the second round of antibiotics will finally kick it to the curb!
Therefore, we have spent a lot of time at home. All of this was during the snow storm, so we didn't have much of a choice anyway.

A little hot cocoa makes everybody feel better.....

A little cleaning also seems to help....

Finally feeling good enough again to eat and being silly.....

Oma sent Hannah a new tea set.....we have made lots of tea to help us get better!

I sure hope that we put all the sickness behind us for a while!

Beep Beep

Hannah's favorite new thing is to play in the car.  Every time we go somewhere she wants to climb into the front seat and play.  This morning we played in the car for 45 min and she still didn't want to come inside.
Every time I ask her if she wants to go inside she says "Nein.  Auto".  I sat in the passenger side with the door open this morning and she told me to shut the door.
Sunglasses are an important accessorie when driving

Notice the ballet shoes in this picture.....another new favorite of Hannah!

This is her new face when I ask her to smile for the camera.  I think you will start to see this look a lot.

Every time we get back into the car after Hannah played in it there are all kinds of things going
off....windshield wiper, blinker etc

Fun times!

Snow and Ice Skating

I am just now getting around to posting snow pictures from last week and now we are already running around in T-Shirts.  The weather has been crazy!!!!
We got more snow in 4 hours than in the last 3 years combined.  This was a big snow storm for our town.

So, with all of this snow we decided to bundle up and go sledding down our hill.  It was a busy place.  People even brought their snowboards :)
Scott going down the hill
Somebody kept driving up and down the hill to pick up all the sledders/snowboarders
Hannah was finally "warming up" to the snow :)  I am so glad she started to play in it.  It made the snow days a lot more pleasant.

Since Hannah finally liked the snow we decided to put her to work and let her shovel the snow!

The snow was really beautiful
We also decided to go ice skating.  Hannah and Scott were supposed to watch, but Hannah really wanted to get on the ice.  They had some of the "walkers" for the little kids, so we used that.  Hannah did not have ice skates on, but her boots worked really well as ice skates.  She loved it and was smiling, giggling and yelling out the entire time.  She did not want to get off the ice and every time I stopped to take a break she said "nochmal" (again in German).  I got a really good workout out of this since I had to bend down the entire time.  Unfortunately our camera did not take very good pictures, so this is the best we got.
This picture is actually from Casey's phone.  It took better pictures than our camera.

I really hope this was the last of the snow for this year.  I am ready for Spring!
