Karneval in June

Every time we go to Germany we have to make a visit to the Karneval store.  Scott gets really excited about it.....he loves costumes.  This store is huge, has every costume you could ever think of and is  open all year around.  This time we brought Hannah with us and Scott and Hannah tried on a lot of costumes.  I on the other hand was not feeling good, so I pretty much laid down in the fitting room and took pictures of the them.

First was the frog costume
Next up was a little dwarf girl for Hannah....
Then the Hippie....
And while Scott is putting on the Hippie costume Hannah has already moved on to a fairy princess costume....

And of course there was some dancing too....
My brother met us at the Karneval store (you can see him in the background), because we had an important lunch date next door at IKEA to eat some swedish meatballs.  Yes, we went to IKEA just to eat lunch.
Next up the Indian outfit....I think it is pretty safe to say that Hannah enjoyed trying on costumes.
At this point we had already been there for an hour and I was really hungry, so we moved on to IKEA.  We returned another day to make our purchases.  Stay tuned on which costume we chose for Halloween!

Do The Math

Yes, we are expecting another baby in January 2013!

We are very excited and can't wait to meet the new bundle of joy.  Once again I saw the idea for the above picture on Pinterest a long time ago and I had it pinned in my head to announce the good news this way.  Well, then morning sickness kicked in and I have been miserable for over 12 weeks (I am 18 weeks now).  Taking a family picture has been the last thing I wanted to do, so I kept putting it off and hoping I will feel better.  Finally I decided that we just need to do it, so here it is.....I haven't done my hair in 12 weeks (don't get me wrong, I still wash it), no coordinating outfits , no planned out background, but I am glad we have this family picture.  Thank you Debbie for taking it.

Picture Perfect

I had seen these really adorable pictures on Pinterest of little girls in their moms wedding dresses.  I decided I wanted to try that with Hannah and had all these great pictures in my mind.  I had to wait until our next visit to Germany, because my dress is still over there.  Well, we finally got around to our big photo shoot, but it didn't go as planned. Hannah was really excited to try on the dress, but when she realized she had to sit down in it and couldn't run around she was not so happy anymore.  Plus she still doesn't like to pose for the camera.  So, I got exactly 5 photos and here they are:
And she is done......
Even though I didn't get the images I had been dreaming up in my head, I still love the few pictures I got.

And here are a few things our picture perfect daughter has been up to lately.

We went out to eat the other night and ordered her chicken strips and fries.  She ate a few of her fries and then said that she was done.  Scott said "You didn't even touch your chicken", she then put her hand on the chicken and said "Yep, I touched it".  Very funny!

She ran into her rom the other day and started changing clothes, so I asked her why she was doing that and she said "This dress doesn't match my purse". Oh my!

Some of her favorite sayings right now are "You are kidding me" and "I know sweetie"

She picked a bunch of tomatoes in the garden the other day and she wanted to leave some out on the porch for the birdies to eat.  She stood by the window for a while waiting for the birdies to eat her tomatoes, but she got tired of it pretty quickly.  The same afternoon we went to Wal-Mart and she saw some birds in the parking lot and she said "Hey birdies there are some tomatoes at my house"

She always tells me that she wants to look in the "Fenster", which means window in German, but she rally means a mirror.  Makes me laugh every time.

I just love this age!!!!!!

Birthday Party Fun

We had a wonderful weekend celebrting Hannah's 3rd birthday (back at the beginning of June).  Hannah had a party at the gymnastics place with all her little friends and then we continued to celebrate with family and friends in the evening at the house.  I think this year Hannah really understood that this was her birthday, her party, her cake and she really enjoyed opening all the gifts.

Here are some pictures of her party at the gym
Her face was already starting to heal a little.
I only got a few pictures of the kids in the gym.  Next time I just need to hire a photographer :)
Opening gifts.....and I do have to apologize that I still haven't written Thank You cards.
Then we did some swimming and more celebrating at the house
The super cute and tasty cake from Shelby Lynn's
Hannah was serving cake to all her guests
Cookie party favor
Thank you to verybody that came out to celebrate Hannah's 3rd birthday.  I still can't believe that she is three years old.  She is such an independent girl and wants to do everything on her own.  I do appreciate that, but it brings on lot so messes.  Even though I don't need to worry abot the messes (according to Hannah), because she will clean it up all byherself.
