Miss Nora

Little Miss Nora is not so little anymore and is already 3 months old.  Where has the time gone?  Nora is growing before our eyes and it is going so much faster the third time around.  We have adjusted really well to being a family of 5.  Nora is turning into a true Clubine baby now.....she is getting chunky, losing a lot of the hair she had and is starting to sleep bad.  Ha!  She was such a good sleeper for the first few months, which was my saving grace and now she decided to turn into a bad sleeper just like the other two.  I am still hopeful that it is just a phase and that she will go back to being a rockstar sleeper.

She is becoming so much more aware of her surroundings and responds so well to her siblings.  Hannah can make her smile all the time and I am sure her heart rate goes up a little when she hears Evan coming.  She was laughing out loud at Evan a few weeks ago when he was running in circles being crazy and loud.  I cannot wait to see the dynamic between all three of them once Nora is a little older.

Nora is a sweet little girl and loves to be held, which is her favorite spot for nap time.  She is grabbing the toys on her swing now and is still not a big fan of tummy time.

Here is a trip down memory lane........
This was one of my favorite outfits on Hannah
Hannah and Nora
Evan likes to sit next to the swing......he also likes to turn the swing on and off and the speed up and down
Sleeping beauty
Love her snowman hat
And this is how she felt about her first christmas....
Her hair always seems to be spiky
Family of five
Baby smiles are the best
Crazy hair
So tired
The big three months!!!!!

Let's hope for a good nights sleep tonight!

Dear Evan

Dear Evan,
Oh my, we cannot believe that you are already two years old and a big brother!  You are such a perfect addition to our family and we are so blessed and lucky to have you.  The memories from everything that happened after your birth and how sick you were are still fresh in my mind, but I take one look at you and all is right in this world.  I do believe that your rough start to life gave you that extra spark and wild factor.  You are one of a kind and we are so proud to be your parents…….even though there are plenty of moments when I just shake my head and can’t believe you are my child.  Listening, sitting still and patience are not your strong points, but you are a sweet little boy that makes us laugh all of the time.  You are a daddy’s boy and could care less if I was around or not.
We celebrated your birthday with an outdoor camping theme birthday.  You love to be outside and being cooped up inside in the winter is hard.
Beautiful cake made by Mara
Just a little craft that involved glue....always a favorite

You have way too much energy and I wish I could bottle some of that up for myself.  You still have to be supervised every waking moment or you will get into something you are not supposed to.  You love to help......unfortunately most of the time your help creates more work, but it is so sweet that you constantly want to help out. You recently started talking a lot more.  You are putting sentences together now.  You understand everything in German and English and you still have your own language.  You have lots of words that you have made up and most times these words are not even close to the German or English word, so we have no idea where you get them from.  A lid is "gogo", scissors are "so", to color is "a", different one is "hip hone", a fork or spoon is "beef", which you also say when its time to brush your teeth.  You love to eat and some of your favorite things are "sauce" which actually means sausage and "balls", which means meatballs.
You also really like "houp", but it gets a little messy
One of your favorite things is to go into the pantry and try to sneak a piece of chocolate.  Here is your face when I caught you
I made some zucchini muffins the other day and you wanted one, so you got yourself a platter out
Your fashion choices are quite interesting.....you love to put on Hannah's clothes
You added daddy's shoes to Hannah's shorts
And then you added your helmet and this is how we left the house to  pick up Hannah from school
Or you like to wear Nora's hat or Hannah's dresses or her leotard

One of Hannah's boots and one of your rainboots

You recently got a hair cut and your sister requested spiky hair.
Needless to say you keep us entertained and on our toes.  We are so thankful that your blood pressure has been stable.  We have an appointment with your nephrologist next week to talk about next steps.
We love you to the moon and back!

It's About Time....

......that I update the blog.  Well, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving,  Christmas, New Year's and January (that is probably going to be the extend of my recap.....maybe I will do a quick picture recap soon).  We have been busy with life around here.  The new house is coming along nicely and our current house just hit the market today.  I am not looking forward to the process of selling a house with 3 little kids around (one of them being Evan).
Not much has changed around here.  Hannah is still enjoying Kindergarten and is such a sweet little girl, Evan is still wild, crazy and curious and starting to talk a lot (keeping him entertained inside during the cold winter months is tough) and sweet Nora just keeps growing like a weed.  I can't believe how fast it is going with the third child.
Hannah ice skating (she took lessons this year and loved it)
Hannah and her new Funkemariechen costume (Karneval costume from Germany)....she looks so different with the wig on
Evan in time out, which by the way hasn't worked well for us yet.  He will sit there until we tell him he can get up, but then he goes right back to doing what got him into trouble or he will put himself into time out if we ask him to do something he doesn't want to do like clean up.
Nora 1 month old
Nora 2 months......she smiles all the time now and laughs out loud.
Party of Five

Progress on the new house.  They are going to start insulating and dry walling very soon.  Building a house is so much fun, but also a lot of work and a little stressful.  I am always so worried that everything we pick out won't go together......

Until next time......hopefully it won't be long!
