Friday Favorites

I am sharing my favorites of the week today.

The weather was my favorite this week.  Spring is in the air and we spent a lot of time outside enjoying it.  We did not even have a bad winter, but there is just something about the first signs of Spring that make me so happy.
Blooming trees and flowers in the yard
My tulips are coming up!

Playing outside is Evan and Nora's favorite thing to do.  Nora will make a break for the outside anytime she can.  I changed her diaper the other day and she took it to the front door and wanted to throw it into the trash can outside.  I opened the door and let her throw the diaper away and then she ran from me as fast as she could to the playset.  She knew exactly what she was doing.
It was actually really warm out, but she insisted on wearing this hat
Hannah was home with the flu most of the week.  That was not a favorite part of the week , but she is finally feeling better.
I took Evan and Nora to the Amazeum, so that Hannah could rest at home.  They both love the water area and were soaked in no time.
Another favorite thing is how excited Evan gets to help around the house, especially if it involves tools.  His towel holder had come off the wall, so he was eager to help put it back on and he did it!

We celebrated Scott's birthday and he had lots of helpers opening his gifts.
Nora was eating the wrapping paper.

Picnic time is another favorite thing to do around here.  I gave each of them a bucket to fill with snacks.

Her cheese face is a favorite of mine

Nora had to have tube surgery this week and my favorite part is that it's over now.  We tried everything to avoid this surgery, but her ear infections just kept coming back.  She handled it like a champ.
We had to be at the hospital at 5:45am and were able to leave by 8:30am.
She was playing peek a boo with the nurses in the hallway

We had some fun with St Patrick's day yesterday.  I used the little printables from momfessionals.com to leave the kids a note.
Then we made green eggs and green pancakes for dinner and took a green bath.  Evan came home from preschool and kept talking about "lektokons".  They had given the kids binoculars to look for 4 leaf clovers and leprechauns at school.  He loved it.

Nora's favorite thing to wear right now is hats.  I love this picture of her.

Hannah's favorite thing is pictures with the bunnies.  She looks forward to this every year and they are always some of my favorite pictures.
Getting ready to take pictures with Mrs Myra.
Nora kept squealing with delight when she saw the bunnies.  She would also pat her own head gently to show how she was supposed to touch the bunny.
I can't wait to see the pictures from Myra

Week Recap: Painting, musical, dress up and bike park edition

It is so hard to believe that it is already March.  We did not really have a winter and I am not complaining about that.  I do wish we would have had at least one good snow day (Hannah has done lots of snow dances), but at this point I am ready to move on and just want it to get warm.

Last week I had my first painting with a twist experience.  We painted a bunny for easter.  It was a fun night out with Debbie.

We saw this painting on the wall and had to take a selfie with it
The finished product.  It is now proudly displayed in our kitchen
Hannah had her first grade musical last week.  The kids did such a great job and it was a very cute show. I had to spend most of the 30min show walking up and down the aisle with Nora…..girlfriend can not sit still
Sweet Nora had another ear infection last week.  Tubes are in our near future.
She loves this blanket aunt Amy made for her.
Our kids love to dress up.  They got into the costume box again and came out looking like this.
This wig has brought us many laughters.
This is also how they greeted Morgan out by the road
We did some face painting over the weekend.  I am not sure what Evan has on his face, but it is what he picked out
I was on the phone with my mom and Nora climbed into Hannah's bathtub and turned the water on and sat down right away, so I let her.  She was having a blast.  Now she thinks she should do this every  time.

Here is the typical "cheese" face again

We brought the fire fighter game back this weekend.  I have to draw something that is on fire with chalk and call Evan the firefighter and he will put out the fire with some water bottles.  He will then run inside and "go to sleep" and wait until I call him again (because firefighters sleep at the station).
He will play this for hours!
In the meantime Hannah was sun bathing and reading
I tool the kids to the new Rogers bike park yesterday and they enjoyed it a lot and both asked if we can go again soon.
Evan is getting much better on the balance bike now.  He made several laps, but then he enjoyed the bike wash (to no surprise)
Hannah loved it
The park is awesome
And there is a fun naturescape playground too.  It was a fun morning.
Happy Monday and have a great week
