Hello Summer

Summer is in full swing around here and it is flying by.  I can't believe the kids have already been out of school for 4 weeks.  That is the reason for the lack of Blog Posts.
I still have a little bit of catching up to do before jumping into our summer fun.

Evan had a really cute Mothers Day program at his pre-school (I told you I had some catching up to do). He wanted his hair spiked that day to look "fancy".

We tried a few selfies.

I didn't take any pictures during the program.  It was so cute and they did a great job!

Evan finished his soccer season.  He loves it, which makes me so happy.  He is half German after all :).  He is currently at British Soccer camp this week and his first day today went really well.  He was excited when I picked him up.  He is also into watching the World Cup!

We opened the Pool up really early this year and this was my view early May......the water was still a little too chilly for me at that time, but since then we have had lots and lots of swims together.

This girl is still fearless in the water.  She is actually becoming a pretty good swimmer!

Nora had Pirate Day at pre-school.She practiced her pirate "aargh's" for a while at home.

One afternoon Evan decided to set up an auction in his room.  Ha!  He was auctioning off some things he didn't want anymore......oh and a $1 bill:)
Hannah was bidding on something here.....

He made all of the bid sheets

He comes up with some very creative things and games all of the time.

The kids enjoyed some of daddy's grapes by the pool.

We also had a little celebration for Evan's preschool graduation.  How is it possible that he will start Kindergarten in the Fall?  I am not Ok with that.  I need time to slow down a little.  Hannah will be in 4th grade, so they have 1 year together at Elementary school.

A little celebratory dinner after the ceremony.

I was brave one morning and let all three of them ride their bike to school.  We don't have sidewalks all the way to school and with the morning traffic it was a little nerve wrecking, but they did great.

Last day of school!!!!!!!

We celebrated Hannah's 9th birthday a week early with another hotel slumber party.

We got two rooms this year, so that Evan and Nora could stay too.

The girls talked Scott into painting his nails:)

I was exhausted the next day.

We were traveling for a wedding for Hannah's actual birthday, so she had her birthday table in a hotel room.

More of Evan's game creations.  He loves the game Risk (his Monopoly obsessions has slowed down a little), but we do not own it, so he created his own board.  At this point we have at least another 5 board games sitting around that Evan created.

Well, that is it for today.  Next time I will share some of our summer fun.
