New York City

We left on Christmas Day to head to New York City for a few days.  We made it to our hotel fairly late and crashed.....well I wanted to crash, but the kids were pretty wound up for a while.  We got up early and walked to Rockefeller Center.
We bought tickets to Top of the Rock in advance and made our way up there.  We have been up the Empire State building several times, so we thought we switch it up this time.  The views never get old.
We met Morgan and Zane in NYC.  It was so fun seeing them and Zane's selfie stick came in handy....except for not getting Evan into this picture, he was too short :)

We stayed at the JW Marriott Essex house and you could see it from up there....
We walked over to Bryant Park for the Christmas market and had some lunch.
After that we spent some time in Central Park before getting ready to go to dinner and a show.
We also checked out the Bergdorf Goodman window displays.....they are pieces of Art.  So fun.
Ready to see Aladdin on Broadway.  I really enjoyed the show. Nora was a little restless, but she made it through.

The next morning we split up and I took Nora to the American Girl Doll store and Scott took the older two to M&M and Hershey's store on Times Square.
Nora was in heaven.  Hannah was never into dolls like Nora is.
This is what you pick when daddy says you can have one thing.....

Then we made our way over to Madison Square Garden to see the Harlem Globetrotters play...
We didn't get any pictures of the action, but all kids agreed that this was their favorite part pf the entire trip.  It was really fun and entertaining to see them play.
We got a little bit of a backstage tour after the game, because Evan tripped on the escalators on the way out and hit his head on an escalator stair and got a little puncture wound.  They called the medics and then we got a tour of the Garden to walk over to the doctor on call.  They were switching everything over for a Rangers game that night, so it was pretty interesting.  Evan checked out all good and they bandaged him up.

After our little detour at the Garden we decided to take the Subway downtown and walk the Brooklyn Bridge.  This has always been one of my favorite things to do in NYC, but it was SO crowded.  I have never seen the bridge/city this crowded.
This is why Evan and Nora and not in any of the pictures......they really enjoyed the stroll across the bridge
I am s glad we had a stroller for both of them.  It was so busy and crowded everywhere and knowing they are sitting in the stroller made it a lot easier o keep track of them

We caught the perfect late afternoon sunlight
Hannah looks so grown up with her hair straightened
Look at the crowds
Nora liked riding the Subway

We had dinner at Supernova on Times Square and the view was amazing
Nora and Evan were taking a selfie and this is the best we got

On our last day it rained all day, so we tried to come up with some indoor things to do.
We walked over to St Patrick's cathedral, went back to American Girl Doll and Nintendo store and walked over to Chelsea Market.  Chelsea Market was so packed that we couldn't even walk through there with strollers.  We left and went to the nearest pizza joint and just got a slice of pizza.

For our last dinner we went to a really cute little Italian restaurant and met Emily there......I used to babysit Emily.  She saw one of our posts about being in the city and she contacted me letting me know that she works and lives in the city.  How is she old enough to work and live in NYC?????  Nothing makes you feel older than realizing the kids you babysat are all grown up.
It was great to catch up with her.

The next morning we had to get up bright an early to catch a flight home.  We had a great time, but 3 days in the city with 3 kids was enough.  They are pretty good travelers though.
