Life Lately

Several weeks back we had a big bike race in town.  Hannah and I volunteered at the finish line tent for a while.

Following the bike race we went for some lunch and the kids played with the Wiki Stix.

We made it to our annual Pumpkin Patch visit.  We have visited McGarrah farms since Hannah was a baby.

The kids still like to ride the Mule train.

Hannah's friend Perason introduced her to knitting and she has found a new hobby.

We joke that she is like a little old lady, because she likes to sit in the rocking chair on the porch knitting and drinking tea.

My mom and I went to the Crystal Bridges Crystals in Art exhibit and there were some interesting pieces.

We took Nora out to lunch at 8th street market and she wanted some pictures up on the sign.

The guys were out of town, so my mom and I took the kids over to Casey's.  Casey took them on a ride on their property in the back of the pick up truck and these pictures couldn't be more classic.
They had so much fun!

Scott and I got to go to the Premiere of Fixer to Fabulous.  We are so excited for Jenny and Dave to have this show on HGTV.  It was a really fun Premiere event at Skylight.  Of course we had to make some VIP Lanyards.......obviously were are very VIP.

Back to some Fall activities......Family Pumpkin carving night.

Evan was hand drawing his design and Nora did a classic Jack O Lantern while the rest of us used a pattern.
Somewhere during the process Evan lost his shirt.

Five little pumpkins sitting on a porch.....

Next up was Halloween.  The costume carnival at school is always a favorite night of the year for the kids. We went early to help set up a booth.

We revealed our Family costumes.....a royal affair.
We had a Queen, two Knights, a princess and a royal jester.

Hannah had nop problem getting into character.  The costume had little bells on it, so you could hear her coming from a mile away.

Hannah volunteered to help run some of the booths.  Her favorite was to be in the Haunted Kitchen. She loved it.  She was wearing this mask and scaring people.  She took it to another level and when she knew one of the kids she would use their name to scare them......

We got a couple of pictures at the event, but the kids were too busy running around playing games and collecting candy.

The next night Scott and I went on our annual Halloween pub crawl with friends.  Always a good time.

On Halloween I decided to surprise the kids with a little Halloween themed breakfast.
Donuts....
The eyeball eggs looked cooler on Pinterest.....
