Well, it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Hannah loves Christmas time and was wanting to decorate for Christmas and listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. We agreed that she had to wait until Thanksgiving was over to decorate and she listened to Christmas music in her room.....she would change the radio station in my car and I would change it back. Ha! I can't do it that early.
We got back from our beach trip the day before Thanksgiving and had a less than 24 hour turnaround time to head out to Branson to spend Thanksgiving with Scott's family. The kids were very excited to see all of their cousins.
The entire crew.....
We played some Reindeer games again.....it was fun to bring them back!
Whipped cream and cheese puff balls......can't get better than that :)
This was definitely a crowd favorite.
We left the cheese puff balls in the yard for the deer to come eat them......BUT we had lots of kids that kept going out to the yard to pick some up for a snack. It was very funny.
Watching a little TV with her cousin......
Nora scored a great spot on Austin's shoulder
Hannah and AJ
One of many Fireplace performances
Evan got the game Blokus from his cousin gift exchange and it is a big hit.....many rounds have been played
When we got back home we finally pulled out the christmas decorations and got a tree.....Hannah was very happy!
And on December 1st our Elf Mr Christmas returned.....he went all out and brought donuts that spelled "I am back"
He was ready for a little movie night....He was practicing his target shooting with ketchup....thankfully he did that in the garage
He hid a few treats under cups
Mr Christmas wanted to play tic tac toe......but he lost to Nora
He went ice fishing .....
Oh Chip-was tree, oh chip-was Tree.....
How tasty are your branches?
Hannah had her first dance competition of the season.....
Her duet costume goes really well with the Christmas tree....
Hannah and Caroline performed their duet for the first time.....
Hannah said she was so nervous the entire time and thought she was going to throw up :)
It was a great first time to perform and get the nerves out of the way....
First ice skate of the season was a big success. Nora and Evan did great and Hannah is a Pro. Evan's ice skating strategy is a little different than Nora's. He wants to go as fast as possible and doesn't care if he falls (which he did plenty). Nora on the other hand is a lot more cautious and really doesn't want to fall.
The Neighborhood did Gingerbread House parade last weekend. Such a fun and cute idea. Whoever wanted to participate displayed their Gingerbread House on their porch and a few of the houses also had hot cider and cookies.....we walked around the neighborhood to look at all the Gingerbread houses.
Even though this was not a competition, Scott made it into one:). He went all out to create an entire village.
We dropped our display off at a different house since our house is a little bit off the beaten path.
The lit up tree was really good.
It was finally time for Hannah to get glasses.....I love them (she is still pitching for contact lenses hard though). She is amazed by how much better she can see at school !
Nora's soccer season has been over, but we recently got these pictures back. They turned out so good!
Nora is the kind of kid that will want to play every sport.....she loves to play soccer and is a pretty aggressive player (thanks to her brother), but then she changes into her dance clothes and is Prima Ballerina:)
