This and That

This will be another attempt to just catch up on the Blog.  We have been in a busy season of life with all of the sports happening, but we all love it.  Is it a lot of driving and exhausting? Yes, but for us it is worth it.  When it is logistically possible we will always make sure that Scott and I both go to all of the sporting events, but lately we have had to divide and conquer more.

I can't believe we are at this point already, but Hannah and Nora have started a countdown to summer break already.  The weeks after Spring break do seem to fly by until the end of the school year.

Right before Spring Break Nora finished her first basketball season going undefeated.

These two loved playing together!

The McElroy's came to cheer the girls on and I can't get over how tall the boys are.....how can they be this big already!
I think I intentionally forget how old I am :)
We left for Spring Break the next day and it couldn't have come at a better time.  We all needed a little break away from the hustle and just have some good family time together.
We went back to Club Med in Punta Cana.  My mom met us there for the week and we had a fantastic time.  We were all reminded of why we loved this place so much the first time we went.
It is perfect for our family, because there is so much to do.  My avg step count was 23,000 steps a day on vacation. Haha!  Maybe not that relaxing, but a lot of fun family time and lots of memories made!

Sitting at the bar by the ocean waiting for my mom to get there on our first night!
Evan and Nora were still on the soccer field !

We had perfect weather the entire week.
Morning view

Testing out archery and trapeze the first morning we were there

These two were always on the move.....volleyball, basketball, bocce ball, archery, trapeze, soccer and swimming.  It was tough to fit it all in every day:)

Evening reception by the pool....it was just a little windy out that night

We went back to the Adventure Park for a day.

We really enjoyed the jumping into freezing cold water :)

Swimming in the cave is also pretty cool

We also went on a snorkeling excursion and had a great time!  The water was so perfect.

Evan did some dancing

Nora came up with a scavenger hunt for us to do and we had so much fun.  There was just a little bit of arguing about how we do the teams, but it all worked out in the end and we had a great time with it.

I took these pictures on our last morning there and it made me. not want to leave.....

......which almost happened :).  We had all kinds of flight delays, cancellations and ended up flying into Austin, TX, spent the night and then due to more delays we drove home from Austin.  Long trip home, but we all agreed the next day that we would do it again tomorrow, because we had such a good week!
