Arty Crafty

Hannah and I have discovered the Crafty Cottage in downtown Bentonville.  It is a really neat place where you can do and learn how to do anything crafty.  They offer everything from pottery painting, knitting, scrapbooking to basket weaving (I always thought that was just a joke, but it actually is a craft. Ha).  Debbie and I took Hannah and Simon to the Mommy and Me class yesterday, which was a lot of fun.  We made 3 crafts while we were there.
The first was a handprint that we turned into a turkey.  I think it turned out really cute.
Then we moved on to making a pumpkin.  The pumpkin is made out of a piece of dryer vent and then we used orange napkins and lots of glue to turn it into a pumpkin.  The glue and glitter was Hannah's favorite!!
Last but not least we made a turkey out of a flower pot.
The only problem is that I save all of Hannah's art projects.  How could you not?  She brings home art from school every week and I already have a folder that is overflowing, but there is no way I could throw any of it away.
Today Hannah and I went back to the Crafty Cottage to do some pottery painting.  Hannah did really well and had a great time. She wanted more paint all the time. I was so bummed that the battery on my camera was dead again.  This seems to happen all the time.  I think it turns on when it is in my purse even though I have it in a case.  So, the below pictures are from my phone.

We will definitely go back to the Crafty Cottage.  Maybe I can learn how to sew or scrapbook........

  1. I hear ya. My folder is now a plastic tub because there is so much. And I quit saving ALL of it. I just can't. It's too much. I do try to take pictures of everything so I at least have that.
