Horton Farms and Goop Playdate

We recently won a night at Horton Farms at a charity auction.  Horton Farms is a beautiful log cabin outside Bentonville that is available for events and retreats.  We spent Saturday afternoon hang out in the cabin and on the deck.  We had planned for lawn games, but it was raining that afternoon.  In the evening we grilled out and watched some football.  The cabin has 2 Master Bedrooms and 2 bedrooms with 10 bunk beds each.  Some of us spent the night and we had a great time.
The kids had a great time playing, reading and eating
We also celebrated baby Oliver's first birthday.  I can't believe he is already one year old!
We had a lot of great food and desserts.....I know I had cake again at midnight!
We had a wonderful evening hanging out with friends.  The kids not sleep great that night, so we were all up early and ready for breakfast.

Last week we went to a Goop playdate at the park.  Making Goop is quite fascinating.  You mix cornstarch with water and you can also add food coloring.  This turns into a very interesting mixture.  It is not like any normal liqid.  You can roll it up into a ball, but if you just let it sit in your hand it will melt.  I think the adults had as much fun playing as the kids.  It was a little messy, so I did not get a ton of pictures.  The great thing is that it cleans up easily.  As soon as it dries you can just brush the powder off.  We will for sure do this again soon.
