This And That- Summer Edition

We celebrated a big 12th birthday in June!

How is it possible that she is 12?  It was a really big birthday for her and one she has been looking forward to for a long time.......she finally got a phone.

We are a few months into having the phone now and Hannah has done amazing with it.  She has a lot of restrictions on it and really can't do anything besides phone callas and text on it, but she has been very responsible with it.

She got a fun delivery on her birthday from her friend Pearson who was still in the Caribbean....
......it was very yummy for all of us
And then this popped up on my time hop.......Hannah's first birthday.  Wow!

We have been working on our Summer list......we love coming up with these lists every year.  There are always a lot of repeats and then we add new things every year.  We like marking things off as we do them.

The kids asked if we could make Spaghetti tacos for dinner.  Apparently that is a thing on a TV show they have watched.
So, one night we went for it.  Spaghetti inside a hard taco shell.  Why not?

Evan wanted to bake a cake and went with a Santa Clause theme.  Again, why not?

We made a Coke float for the first time.

This is one of our favorite coloring books.  We all love to color the different cities.
Evan decided to make his own Bentonville version and it turned out so good

We have spent some time out on the lake......

.....it is always a family favorite.

We went out to the Berry Farm one evening to pick blueberries.  We packed a picnic and had dinner after picking blueberries.

I found a recipe for lemon blueberry bread that is delicious.  We froze a lot of the berries and have made the bread multiple times now.

Hannah and I had a picnic lunch in the back of my car while waiting on Evan and Nora.

Next up was our trip to the Dominican Republic.  We had a wonderful family vacation.....we had so much fun that we ended up extended our stay.  We went to Club Med in Punta Cana and loved it.
Our first day there was a little windy due to Hurricane Elsa......thankfully a little wind is all we felt from it.

That hair......

We played a lot of Bocce ball that day.....

By late afternoon it already started to clear up and we got some swimming in.

I have a lot more to report on from our trip next time.
