Queen Of The Night

What 17 months old toddler needs a Queen bed?????  Hannah does.
Hannah has been terrified of her crib lately.  It started during a night where we had a bad thunderstorm, so the only thing I can come up with is that she got scared.  She has been screaming when we get near her crib and stiffens up, so we decided to try something new.  Hannah is a very ACTIVE sleeper and she has always banged her head on the crib, because she moves around so much.  She sits up and stands up with her eyes closed and then she just flops down.
So, we decided to put a Queen mattress on her floor and surround it with pillows in case she still falls off :)

Here are Hannah's new temporary sleeping arrangements
Hannah has slept on this for 2 nights now and we have seen some improvements.  She still wakes up a few times in the middle of the night, but she was not afraid to sleep in her room.  If we continue to see improvements in her sleeping we will need to make this a more permanent solution.  Maybe one of our talented friends (you know who you are) can build Hannah a Queen size toddler bed.  Ha! Last time I checked they didn't have a Queen sized toddler bed frame.  Nothing but the best for our little Queen :)

  1. Great solution! I say keep it on the floor and add lots of bolsters.

  2. This is a GREAT idea!!! Does she stay in her bed like this? We are wondering when to transition T into a toddler bed. I'm afraid he'll stay up and play all night instead of sleep..LoL
