Life Lately

I am catching up today with a Life Lately post.

On Valentine's Day we surprised the kids with a little surprise.....

And I was able to join Evan for his class party.
The cup stacking game was a big hit with Evan.

Then I lifted him up for the last cup, but everything came tumbling down.
It's the little things I get excited about nowadays.....this long sleeve shirt with a watch hole is genius for cold weather runs.....
Evan invented another game cackled Kings and castles.  You had to hide King cards in the castles and then the other cards can attack.....the castle protects the kings.

Evan comes up with a new game at least 3 times a week.
Scott and I went to the new Momentary opening a few weeks ago.  I think it is a very neat modern art space.

We went back last weekend to check out the Tower Bar at night.  Very cool atmosphere and great views.  We caught the sunset and it was beautiful.

Evan just finished basketball with Scott and Ryan as his coaches.  He loved it.  Evan is not the most skilled player, but he sure is a tough little defensive player.  We have been joking that the lines between tackling and playing defense are a little blurred for Evan.  I guess since we have told him he can't play football, he is using this as his opportunity to tackle somebody :).  He was always on that ball and got a lot of steals.
Now we have all moved on to soccer.

Last week was Dr Seuss week at preschool and Nora was super excited for Whacky Wednesday.  She was up early and just laying in her bed waiting for us wake her up.
This is the whacky outfit she chose.....

I helped plan a glow party for Hannah's school a few weeks ago and we put down this glow tape on the dance floor......it was a great idea and looked great until we had to get that tape off the gym floor.  It was definitely a heavy duty tape (like it said it would be) and definitely did not come up easily off any surface (also like it said it would)......it took a lot of us a lot of time over several days to get it off.

Evan brought this heart home the other day and it made me laugh!
Write about a time you felt loved.
My mom said my hair looks good.

Hannah picked up her knitting needles again for a school project.  She finished an entire scarf in less than 24 hours last weekend.....and drank a lot of tea:)
We picked up pizza for Spirit week in Hannah's decorated pizza box

Nora loves to play games, but we have entered the phase where losing is just not fun.
This was her yesterday when I was winning at Junior Monopoly:)
