Keeping Busy Social Distancing Style

I am catching up on the last month today. We managed to keep ourselves busy at home.  We do spend as much time as possible outside.  We go on a lot of walks and hikes and explore new trails and creeks.  According to my Garmin I logged the most steps in a month in May :)

We tried a chalk mosaic one day and it was super fun.
Robin made us face masks back in April, so we had to try them on......still feels surreal when looking at these pictures

We have done SO many crafts.
All of our hand prints to commemorate this crazy time.

Shaving cream "art".  Nora has loved playing with shaving cream and food coloring.
She did a lot of this while I was helping Evan with school work

Anything that makes a mess is more fun.
This activity didn't turn out like we wanted.  We were doing the different moon phases with oeros.  Nora lost interest pretty quick, because it was a little harder than we anticipated.
Evan had a fun music class where they made some binoculars and went on a bear hunt, so Nora joined in on that.
Nora did some school work as well......gummy bear math was her favorite

I made some activity sheets for her
This one was a favorite......painting nails on the activity sheet and working on counting money

Hannah has done so much baking.
She tried pretzels for the first time

Clothing became very optional at some point in our house.  Nora is always in her PJ's and Evan pretty much runs around in his underwear all day.  One morning we asked him to put ons one clothes to run through the Starbucks drive through and this is how he came out......
One night we had a virtual Bingo game with grandma and grandpa.  We sent therm pictures of some Bingo cards and then we played over FaceTime.
For Easter I did an egg hunt that involved completing a task before being able to look for more eggs.   All the eggs had little pieces of paper in them with the tasks (each kid had their own color of eggs, so that everybody had the same amount of tasks to complete).  Some were physical activities, some were math problems or drawing something ect.......the kids loved this.  We may do this all year long.
We have done countless picnic lunches by the creek.  Our goal is to explore a new trail/creek every week.

We have camped in the backyard before it got too hot.

We have been exploring new trails every week.  This was at Lake Leatherwood and it was an adventurous hike.

Nora slipped on some rocks and got her pants all wet and she was not happy.  Evan offered for her to wear his shorts and he continues the hike in his underwear......good thing we didn't see any other people.

By the end we all had to take off our shoes and get through some water.  The bridge was washed out.

Evan got a new bike.  We have gone on a few trail rides.  It is taking him a little bit to get used to a bigger bike.  He took one good fall and since then he has been a little more timid......probably not a bad thing.

Our sweet neighbors have sent us some delicious pretzels......

We have done a lot of swimming.  We opened the pool in early May.

There have been a lot of costume parties and plays at the house.
You never know what you will get.
