Summer Break Here We Come.....

It's hard to believe that we made it through multiple months of online learning, but here we are.....

It's summer break.

We took the traditional last day of school pictures. .....with their "teacher" in it
(I am fully aware that I was not their teacher, just somebody to try and keep them on track. Ha).

These pictures represent the current state of our house pretty well.....I am always in my athletic clothes, Nora is in her PJ's most days, we had to force Evan to at least put on shorts and Hannah actually gets dressed.
Silly faces are always more fun....
....and we can't leave out the reality
We now officially have a 6th grader, 2nd grader and a Kindergartener.  How is this possible?
Evan had the same wonderful teacher for K and 1st grade.  We will miss her.
Evan is a homebody by nature and staying home has not bothered him much.  As long as he has his family around him he is happy.   I do think after doing online school fo several months he will be ready to go back to school in the Fall.
Hannah has really missed school and her teachers and friends.  She liked that she could get her work done in about 2 1/2-3 hours, but she really missed the social interaction.
Nora has been going to RE Baker with ever since she was born and she thinks she owns that school.  She walks through the hallways and hears her name everywhere and gets hugs (or at least used to) from everybody.  She will have no problem adjusting to school.  It will be much harder on me :)
Nora loved going to preschool and really missed it these last few months.  I think this has been the hardest on her.  She loves to interact with people.
Her preschool had a little drive-through graduation.  She had her head out of the sunroof and loved seeing all of the teachers.

The kids usually get out of school at 2:50pm, so on the last day of school we rode our bikes to school at 2:50pm and took a few pictures.  I had little water guns in my pocket and got Hannah good.  She had no idea that was coming:)

Well, Evan knew it was coming.....

Nora even put on her backpack to ride to school.....

As soon as we got home we all jumped into the pool with our clothes on.  This has become a tradition for us now.
To make the last day of school special I booked Dream Big Tents to deliver these cute little ents for the kids to sleep in.  She delivered them to the front door and I just had to set it up.  I pout the kids in front of the TV while I set up and they had no idea.  They were very surprised when I walked them into the theater to see it....

Dream Big Tents was also offering cookie decorating kits, so we did that after dinner.

Hannah did Nora's hair for the special night of preschool graduation.
These two have become best buddies

She got a little diploma

It was definitely a memorable ending to our school year.
Now we are moving on to our Summer Bucket List......we had to get a little more creative with it for this year.
