A Little Bit Of Everything

I need to play catch up on the Blog.  Blogging is like exercising......if you take a break from it, it's really hard to get back into it.  We do love having the Blog as a scrapbook.  Just last week we all sat down and read through some Blog books from several years ago.  The kids love going through them.  Now I also remember why I was so exhausted back in 2014/2015......Evan was a handful.  Oh my goodness he got into absolutely everything.  There is pretty much an entire Blog book about the mischief Evan got into.

We have gotten very creative to stay busy this summer.  There has been a lot of family time, swimming, playing games and doing crafts etc......

I am going way back to April and May today....

I realized I never posted about our anniversary back in April. The kids made the day very special for us.  They set up a "home hotel" for us.  It was so cute and definitely an anniversary to remember.

We had to pack a bag and go around the block a few times .  When we pulled in we were greeted by Nora to take our bags and take us to the lobby for check in.....

At check in we were surprised with a refreshment.....

Their matching outfits really do look like a resort uniform :)
This nice gentlemen here checked us in and gave us our room keys (they found some old hotel keys in Scott's suitcase)

We were given a tour of the property
And then it was time for our Spa appointments and Champagne
Foot massage was up first.  They had Spa music playing on Alexa and Lavender in the diffuser. Haha

Followed by a hot towel on the feet:)
Sitting in the driveway relaxing after the Spa appointments.
The kids served us more drinks and a cheese plate

Hannah went inside to start on dinner while the other two entertained us outside.
Hannah made rice bowls with an Avocado cream!!!!  She worked hard on dinner all by herself.  She also made Tacos for Evan and Nora.
Then it was time for gifts and popcorn and a movie......
It was such a fun afternoon.  Nora said "Happy Anniversary" at least 100 times to us.

We picked up a Sushi Kit from Blu Fish Market one night and tried our hand at making rolls.  They did not look pretty, but the taste was great.  Hannah and Nora love sushi.

For my birthday Scott got me an Espresso machine to support my Latte addiction :).  I love this machine.
The kids like to play "Starbucks" and go outside of the kitchen window to order.

Here I am making their drinks.
Hannah has a dry erase board in her room and this is what it said a few months ago.....

Not sure what look she was going for here.....
We have played lots of rounds of Life.....and I continually keep finding these kinds of pictures on my phone....

We have had countless picnic lunches.....we have been exploring a new trail every week.  We hike
2-4 miles and then have a picnic lunch.
Hannah has been playing with some filters and editing pictures.....she knows how to work that better than me.

I was trying to spruce up breakfast a little and made a pancake board.  It was very well received bu the kids......

.....so I had to make it again for dinner a few days later with waffles

Hannah turned 11 on June 1st!

While she wasn't able to have a birthday party we still spoiled her on her big day.

The traditional birthday table was waiting for her in the morning.
She was excited about all of her gifts.

Robin and Eve stopped by to drop off a gift and a decorate your own cookie cake.....

The best birthday gift was the "room swap".  Hannah really wanted a bigger bathroom and so the idea was born to switch Nora and Hannah's rooms.  The idea was born on Thursday and by Friday we had moved everything from one room to the other.  With that came an entire room of new furniture.....Hannah really lucked out.

Here she his in her new King bed.
She is very happy with her new room

And the swap worked out great for Nora too.  Now Nora has unlimited access to the slide. She was the one using it the most anyway and had to ask permission to enter hannah's room to use the slide.....

Nora has been a little mermaid in the pool

We had a little socially distant photo shoot.  Kate Burris took some pictures of Elliette, Taylor and Evan in their Class of 2031 shirts.  We started doing this last year when they entered Kindergarten.....
It looked a little different this year.
A long distance arm around each other......

Here she photoshopped all three of them into one picture....

I hope we can keep this tradition up and see them grow into their shirts.
