Friday Update

We are so happy to see Spring temperatures around here.  The longer evenings have been great for playing outside.  Today is the last day of school before Spring break.  We realized this morning in the car on our way to school that after Spring break we have less than 2 months of school before Summer.  What????? How did that happen?  It certainly has been a different school year with lots of changes and restrictions, but the school staff has made it an incredible year for the kids.  I know it has been very challenging for schools and a lot of extra effort and time and we can't thank them enough.

I was nervous about Nora starting Kindergarten under these circumstances, but she has loved every minute of it.  She is becoming such a good reader and just loves everything about school.

Evan has made big progress in school as well and loves it.  Of course his favorite is recess and PE and we get to hear he play by play of his recess games every day.

Hannah has had a little bit more of a difficult year.  She is doing great in school, but with the social aspect of school being pretty much taken away it has been a lot harder on her.  At her age they are also doing most of their work on the computer now and can't do a lot of the things that normally makes school more fun.

Scott and Ryan coached basketball again and their team went undefeated for the entire season and tournament at the end.

COVID rules and restrictions made it a different season, but the kids got to play and had a great time.

Not sure who had more fun during the season......the boys or the dads.

Hannah ws sweeping the kitchen the other night and made the broom stand up on the bristles......it was kind of cool looking.

Last weekend we celebrated Scott's birthday.

Evan wrapped a few random things he found in the house and gave it to Scott.....a clown wig and a Barbie

There was a little bit of a misunderstanding on the cookie cake and we ended up with hot pink icing instead of blue.

Hannah has had a dance competition and she loves it.  She has to do her own make up, because I am so bad at it.

The second grade teachers made this last week of school before Spring break special for he kids and have done a Camp theme......the hallways were decorated, they have done Camp activities and we received this picture from his teacher.
He came home wearing a bandana one day and on another day he brought back a postcard that he created.
