Happy Fall Ya'll

This is the current situation in Arkansas.

We have had some cold morning bike rides to school and by the time school is out the kids are ready to jump into the pool (not really, but you know what I mean).  The weather has been absolutely beautiful though.  We just finished Fall Break and are getting back into the swings of things.

Overall we have had really warm weather and we squeezed in one last boat ride a couple of weekends ago.  We had to go back to the lake one more time to say our good byes for the season.  See you next Spring!  It is always a sad day for me when the boat and pool get winterized.

We got to celebrate sweet Olivia's 1st birthday at the park.  Olivia is Morgan's daughter and she is absolutely precious.  Morgan has become family to us and our kids adore her.  She came into our lives when Evan was 14 months old, so pretty much an eternity ago.  Nora has known her from day 1.  It is so special to us to see Morgan with her little girl.
The girls had Company dance pictures.  They both look so grown up.

It is fun to see them create a "dance bond".  Nora is doing the Company dance this year as well and will be competing at the same competitions as Hannah.  Hannah helps Nora learn choreography and teaches her some new moves.

Hannah has started competition season with her school dance team.  They had a showcase a few backs back to get ready for the first competition.  Here is the team in their Jazz costume.  The dance team has been such a good experience for Hannah.  It has been a huge blessing for her to be part of a team.  Junior High can (and I am sure still will be) a tough place, but having 13 "built in" friends is a big plus.  They have a great group of girls on the team.
We had to wait for Hannah after her performances and this is what the rest off the family did.......who can hold a wall sit the longest.  We didn't get any funny looks at all :)

Morgan came to watch Hannah.

Eve and Robin came to support her as well!

The team in their Pom uniforms.

The first competition was a big success and the team got 2nd for their Pom performance and received the Showmanship award.

Evan and Nora played in a soccer tournament last weekend.  It was a very hot weekend (like 90 degree hot), so the coach challenged Nora's team to drink a lot of water the day before to hydrate.  She asked me to take a picture of her with her water bottle that she finished multiple times that day.

Evan's team fought hard and lost in overtime in the Championship game.  It was an intense game to watch!  These boys have come a long way and it has been fun to watch them become a team and play together.
