Fall Break- Florida Edition

We took advantage of the kids Fall break and went to the beach.  It was a quick trip, but so worth it.  We explored a different area and went to Naples, FL.  We had a great VRBO on the intracoastal and walked to the beach every day.

We got in late at night and spent the first morning at the house swimming in the pool.  Then in the early afternoon we headed out for a deep sea fishing charter.  It was just our family on the boat.  This was the first time that all of us went dead see fishing.  The weather was perfect and the water was very calm.

We had so much fun and everybody did great.

Nora caught the first fish of the trip, but it wasn't big enough to keep.

Hannah has gone multiple times, so she is a pro by now.

I needed some instructional time.....

This little fisherman was really into it....

Sometimes you have to sit down to fish...

Towards the end they let Scott fish for the big boys.....

We caught a ton of fish and knew we would be eating well for a few days.

On the way back in everybody was snoozing away

We watched them clean our fish

A family picture on the fishing boat....

......and one with the fish fillets.

We had a great time fishing together and I think it was a very memorable experience for all of us.
We grilled fish for dinner that night and lunch and dinner the next day and the day after.  Ha!  Good thing we all like seafood.

We spent the next day on the beach.  We built sandcastles and watched Evan play football games against himself.  It was quite entertaining.

The traditional beach jumping picture....

One day we will get a picture of Evan ac tally smiling....

After a fun day on the beach we relaxed on the back deck of the house....

And the kids went paddle boarding with Captain Underpants in charge :)

The house next door had some kids playing in the yard and they called out to Evan asking why he is in his underwear :)

The kids decided to do a water chugging contest.  Evan won by a landslide......and then all of their bellies hurt for a bit.

Spoiled little kids got breakfast in bed

We had three full days on the beach and enjoyed every minute of it.
